Work inspired by "Dark Matter: A Ghost Story" By Michelle Paver
In London in 1937, a group of young men go on a year long Arctic Expedition to Gruhuken, an island off the coast of Norway. Only to find out, they are not the only presence on the island.

A Court of Mist and Fury is the second book by Sarah J. Maas's A court of Thornes and Roses series.
I wanted to explore the two main characters, Feyre and Rhysand's narrative arcs in their costumes.

As lord of the night court, I wanted Rhys to look elegant and regal while still having a fantasy look. I was inspired by Christian Dior, Robert Wun, and Michele Clapton, to name a few.

For Rhy's textiles, I wanted to heavily lean on the idea of starry night. I used diamond shapes and sharp edges to represent shinning stars against a black night sky.
The book also mentions a sacred mountain with three stars atop called, "Ramiel." The mountain appears on the Night Court's insignia and the place where Rhys rules over. I added repeating triangle shapes (the mountain) with variations of diamond shapes (stars) as something that would be important to his character.

I wanted Feyre's night court gown to fall along her body effortlessly and give her a whimsy silhouette. Inspired by bridal haute couture gowns, her dress should still reflect a starry night theme while also contrasting Rhys's dark costume.
